Water, Water, everywhere...

As the sun begins to peek from behind the clouds, the well-washed flowers begin to show their colors and shapes, decorated with beads of water.

This image below os of a bright red flower. However, the part that was interesting to me was the way water collected on the petals and leaves. All around the top edges of the petals are water drops. down along the lower face of the flower are more drops. Even though my choice of development produced a gray flower that is nearly the same shade as the gray leaves, you can still easily tell them apart by the quantity of water drops and the texture of the surface. There is something about the center part of the flower that puts me in the mind of the legs on a shrimp or lobster. I always find it curious how they seems to have way too much happening on the bottom side... so many legs and in a small place.

One of the things about spring that I have always enjoyed, it the lighter shade of green that new growth starts with. This light green gets darker over the summer. the spring shade always feels so hopeful and happy to me. This collection of flowers below shows this to good effect.

Nestled in among the petals of this small flower is a menagerie of water drops of all sizes decorating the petal edges.
