Spring Colors

I'm not completely sure but I believe that the dingy portions of the flower above are due to dirty rainwater. It doesn't seem to be shadows and it makes no sense that a flower would be successful attracting pollinators using a purposely dingy facade.

Yet, it is a pretty flower to study. There is something appealing about the way the individual petal on the top layer are so easily bent to one side. Gives it a casual look. A bit like a sport shirt rather than a dress shirt. Maybe a blazer with jeans for the casual chic appearance.

Now this flower is appealing for its more sophisticated look. Just like the lining of a men's jacket, the backside (top) of the petals have lines while the fronts (on the bottom) are displaying the main color for attracting the clients.

Like a collection of blue lips on a twig, this bunch of blossoms seem to be sipping on water drops to quench a morning thirst.
