My local travels took me back out to Whidbey Island so I stopped by Possession Point State Park to have a look about. There was a bit of sun so I decide to investigate the huge amount of driftwood along the shore.
There was a raven here that had found a morsel to eat among the rocks along beach and every time I tried to get close to him (didn't have my long lens) he flew to a new perch further down the beach to work on getting the good bits out.
So, he/she flew away and turned my attention to investigating the details on the many logs lying here.
This spot on the log below, looks as if the tree had a rash or an outbreak of pimples.
