This arching tree trunk makes a nice place for folks to stack rocks. Rock stacking seems to be a popular pastime at beaches and along mountain trails everywhere.
There is something comforting about the view of the next island framed by the sea and clouds. I'm sure it would be less comforting if the sea were not so calm, yet being able to see another island make it feel a little less lonely out here in the middle of the ocean.
The shallow waters protected by the volcanic reefs are certainly inviting.
