Seamus recently turned 5 and once we were all back in town again, we had a party to celebrate. Seamus wanted to wear his Encanto dress to fit in with the theme of the party.
Anna made a pretty amazing cake covered with the Encanto movie buttery pattern. The layers in the bottom section are particolored and the top is chocolatte. Tons of icing to feed the sweet tooth of young and old.
Some of Seamus' best friends from day care (and their parents) attended and lots of playing in the floor with shared toys was happening.
Pappa Paul posed with Charlie. In this particular image, her attempt to say cheese did not produce quite the effect we were aiming for.
And since it is the Pacific Northwest, there has to be men sitting around a firepit even if it is not lit. It is a genetic requirement. It just surprised that they are not all barefooted.
Charlie joined Seamus for the candle lighting and the cake cutting. Lots of sugar was had by all.
And, of course, Seamus was showered with presents. At this rate the house will fill by his 7th birthday. The Lego sets are beginning to appear. We need to start wearing house slippers year 'round to avoid foot pain. Welcome to childhood.
