The play of the light and shadow on the patterns in the surface of the driftwood here makes for some fun compositions.
You can tell that this wood have been here quite a while. I is is well beached and here is a section that has accumulated enough soil to grow moss.
In fact, there is a fairy garden happening here. If you let you brain play with the scales of things a little, you can imagine that this is a large forest.
One of the features I like is the way the grain of the wood weathers to produce these lines.
Again, with the right frame of mind you can almost see this as a landscape from high altitude showing ridges along the ground. Love this kind of optical 'illusion'.
