In the Pilchuck River

Returning home, I find that February and March are not as rainy as November/December and there are more frequent spells of sun to go for a walk. On this day, I ventured down to a local park along the Pilchuck River to see if there were anything worth photographing.

A stretch of the river with a rocky border that passes as a beach here was in the sun so I took some time to explore the near shore for interesting compositions. With the blurring of the water in motion and the clarity of the rock above the surface of the water, combined with the many colors or minerals in the stones we get a fun image. Some rocks are well tumbled and smooth; others are more angular. Some have stripes and others are curious blue. I find a lot see here.

The dark blue-gray contrasting with the bright red and white make this next image a kind of fun.
