Every home has its traditions and when families are assembled from different backgrounds, there are multiple traditions to follow. As a result, there are things to open and food to eat on Christmas eve as well as Christmas day at our house here in Snohomish.
Moreover, there are always new things to add to the mix. This year Seamus learned about Santa Lucia at school so we did candle wreaths.
He wore it well.
Sitting on the table is a "Santa Lucia" cake made especially for the occasion at Safeway.
As you can see, the tree is well populated with ornaments and packages and every one was ready to open something.
Much concentration is required to open a package, as you can see.
Electronic toys were a big hit and absorbed lots of attention.
