Thanksgiving is a time of traditions for most families and we are no different. Since this year, in celebration of vaccinations all around, we here in Snohomish hosted at total of 18 people for the big meal. This meant that Seth and I made a trip to the rental place and fetched a couple large round tables and folding chairs to seat them all.
The tables were set with the family silverware and plates. New center pieces were created with the help of Seamus and Charlie.
Seasonal candles were added to give the room a bit more the fall color.
And, after weeks of preparation, all was ready.
The extended family appeared and the grandchildren were entertained by grandmother and great-aunt.
And a great-uncle joined in to be sure that he didn't need to offer advice about anything.
Mom and daughter enjoyed a brief rest before the main event of racing up and down while screaming began (for the 2 year old, not mom ☺).
Everyone found more than enough food on the serving table to keep them occupied for hours.
There was plenty of bread, including the gluten-free species, to make sure that the dressing and potatoes weren't the only starches we ate.
And it was all finished nicely with a drink (or 3). A good time was had by all.
