Just next to Blackmans Lake, nestled between the national guard armory and a shopping center is Ferguson park. This is a model place filled with trees, a little grass, some play equipment for the kids, and parking spaces for the pot smokers. I come here on occasion to see if there is a tree, a mushroom, or a lichen with a photo. Today, someone had created an odd vignette in this hollow stump.
Another stump that had not fared quite so well, stood on the edge of the hill overlooking Blackmans Lake.
Moss and fallen branches adorn the exposed roots of a tree.
