A Look Outside Between Atmospheric Rivers

Just outside our front gate is a bush I cannot name that was covered with rain from the many days we've been getting it here. All it does this fall is rain...endlessly. We are close to breaking a record here. Just to putting this in perspective, Snohomish averages over 50 inches of rain a year.

Everything here is wet. the mossy bits are getting mossy-er. The moldy bits are getting moldy-er. Everything is saturated. Notice that in one of the water drops below, you can see the image of our front fence.

I have rarely seen this bush holding this much water. But it does make for some nicely decorated leaves.

Ah! Give me a hydrophobic leaf any day for the shear joy of seeing tons of water drops reflecting the sky and the scene around them.
