An Interesting Plant

Down the street a ways is this curious plant in a front yard. Not only does it have hydrophobic leaves giving us interesting water drops everywhere, it is also multicolored in an unusual way.

I'm quite sure that one of you dear readers will know what this is, but I don't. I also can never tell with these sorts of plants if this is a flower or just one of the fronds that has a nice terminus.

There are plenty of symmetries to explore here. I'm guessing that this photo would be a good one in monochrome but I did not try it.

Even though this image is not symmetric, there is something enticing about the twist and shape of this particular frond.
