As you can tell from the many images I've posted in my walks around the neighborhood, I really like the colors found in the epiphytes that grow on the trees here. Sometimes it almost appears that the trees are wearing parti-coloured clothes.
Even among the leaves of the ground cover where we find less flamboyant attire, there are still gems to behold. Below we see a section with a bit of the leaves that has turned red. These are the darker leaves in this B&W rendering. This give a strong contrast for the small white bristles found along the leaves. A fun new way to see a very common scene.
The trees are the ones who first put out their hope for the coming year. New growth and buds of all shapes and sizes are easy to find.
Some even appear to be ready to leap into spring already with their colorful bulbs poking through the foliage.
