Dry Falls

Continuing north on Hwy 17, we next come to Dry Falls. This is a pretty spectacular place (see previous visit). Today, since we are enroute, the visit was short and I aimed my camera at some of the specific features that I found interesting.

The bottom of the coulee contains a collection of pods/lakes that offer fish for the sportsman so inclined.

With the near vertical walls and the semi-arid landscape at the bottom, the lakes stand out. For those looking for some outdoor time to escape the day-to-day (or the covid lockdown), this is a wonderful place.

Just north of Dry Falls is Banks Lake and here we find some more interesting symmetries.

An the opposite wall of the coulee, there is springtime coming. The dark stone hosting the yellow and green growth is somehow restful and comforting. A great place to experience the outdoors in Washington.
