After leaving Baker City, we headed north west along the coulees in central Washington. We drove through the town of Moses Lake and then on to Lake Lenore. Here, I found some interesting reflections creating some fun symmetries.
The colors and reflections in the image below create an arresting composition.
The rust and green colors really contrast with the white rocks along the shore.
In other places the patterns created are more subtle.
These long narrow lakes are easily accessed from Hwy 17 that runs along side.
And in a section where the volcanic origins of the land here are clear, we find this lone tree backlit and glowing in the midsts of the darker terrain. A nicely framed composition.
