Port Williams County Park

Although there is still snow on Mt. Baker, it does look quite different from the way it did in the dead of winter.

The passage of a large, slow moving cargo ship passed through the strait and created a raft of waves moving across the channel. They make a nice pattern to frame the kayaker in the foreground.

Here the Cascades and a nearby island frame the scene from the other direction. A peaceful place to sit and relax.

Catching this bird in flight low over the water give a little sense of motion ot the fixed, imposing mountain. Changing but unchanged.

Along shore, we have birds and people enjoying the sunshine.

The most colorful thing I saw was the seaweed growing in the shallows just next to shore.
