The Unity and Pengra Covered Bridges

Unity bridge is another one that is in current use. Lane County has done a good job of maintaining these landmarks and keeping them relevant to the residents.

As you can see below, the sides are relatively open. I don't know if it is especially windy here or if this is just the style chosen.


The Pengra covered bridge is another one is current use. The claim to fame of this bridge is "The Pengra Covered Bridge was constructed with two of the longest timbers ever used in building one of Oregon's covered bridges." Not all sure how I would show this to you.

But I can show you that it is well maintained and a safe place to drive.
