Cottage Grove Downtown

This is a small town with little going on in the many buildings that were once bustling with people and business. To liven things up, the folks here tend to cover flat surfaces with mural of one sort or another. Above is a bit of detail from a larger mural you'll more of below.

Because, I suppose, bikes are popular in this part of the world, there is a yellow representation of bicycle bolted to the sidewalk.

Both this and the Coke sign in yesterday's post were freshly painted. I guess the locals drink lots of Coke here.

In what must be the center of town is a small park with a mural in shades of blue that appears to represent all that this place is known for: bridges, a nice place to live, and nature.

Even the vacant lots are perked up with a mural on the street fence to distract you from the fact there is really nothing there.
