This evergreen tree seed cone attracted my attention. Each seed location appears to have a very tiny manta ray with his nose stuck inside. Not like the cones found on the east coast.
These red berries keep catching my eye. I'm quite sure that by now you are tired of seeing red berries on barren bushes. If so, this is not the place for your daily photo fix.
This small bush is still decked out in the Christmas colors.
The details in this mostly brown subject is interesting. I'm not sure what this plant is, but it even makes an interesting view in its winter hibernation clothes.
This reddish brown leaf hiding among the yellows and greens of the this bush is a nice contrast. The clear detail on the leaf also contrasts with the softer, rounder, leaves on the bush. Makes it feel like the brown leaf has found a refuge from the vicissitudes of the season hiding in comfort.
