A pleasant afternoon is a good time to stroll along the tree-lined streets of Snohomish and see what our neighbors are doing to break the visual monotony. These folks had some nice, bright flowers to break up the day.
I don't know what sort of tree this is with its bulbous trunk near the ground, but I do see these fairly commonly on my walks about town. Perhaps it is the result of the tree healing places that have been damaged by cars or mowers.
Lots of picket fences in town.
It is hard to know if these folks really enjoy sitting out in the front yard or if they just sich for people to think that they do. PNWers are a curious crowd. Lots of lawn furniture and decorations in a place you almost never see people doing anything in their yards.
I liked the comment on the current times with the front door flanked by rabbits (yes, there are lots of these here abouts) adorned with masks.
