Cone Flowers and Heather in the Front Yard

I brought you some photos of the red coneflowers in our front yard the other day, so today you get to see the yellow (golden?) ones.

This blossom is much smaller than the one above so I suspect it is newer to the blooming game. It was warm out (there's a shock!) so I believe the curled petals are because of the sunshine and the need for water...yes, we do have to water in the summer here.

I don't know what this one is, but the colors are nice.

The heather has gotten tall and leggy and the flowers move a lot in the light breeze. then a bee comes along to have a sip and everything moves.

Here's a flower much closer to the ground and on a very short stalk. When the bee comes for a visit, I can get a reasonable image.

But, as you can see, the heather is past its prime and the color is fading. Getting harder to find flowers worth shooting.
