Summer is Slowly Winding Down

These leaves in a neighbor's tree are interestingly lit. Notice that the sun shining on the upper leaf is partially transmitted and results in the leaf glowing on the bottom. The small hole in the upper leaf, no unlike the one in the lower one is glowing from this transmission.

There is a border shrub not far away is now putting out its fruit for the season.

Some of the flowers you've seen all summer are still blooming.

These delicately textured flowers still intrigue me.

And we are still flooding with hordes of spiders everywhere.

But some flowers seem to be past their "sell by" date and feel a bit unkempt.

The local Episcopal Church, framed by the typical August clear blue sky feels emblematic of the season.

Sometimes, a little street art is needed to perk up the day.
