We spent the night in a B&B that has cottages spaced out around the main house. If cabin was small but quite nice and more than adequate for our needs. Breakfast was served in a basket to our doorstep and we ate outside on the small porch. All very pleasant. Just next to our place is this hydrangea full of bloom.
Some of the blooms are white-ish and some are more purple.
The backsides of the blossoms are interesting with the purple veins running through them.
We headed out for leisurely wander northward through the island and our first stop was, oddly enough, a garden center. Lots of fun stuff here to look at.
No garder center would be complete without some garden art and seeing as how we are in Washington and on Whidbey Island, it seems natural that we find things that are more than a bit zen-ish and Asian.
Of course, there are flowers that just jump out and say, "photograph me, please".
