Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery

In the main portion of this cemetery, we found a few new graves to investigate. Although many graves have urns as part of the memorial, this is the first one I've seen that is only an urn.
This one, sitting out in the sunshine between tree limbs seems to be in the spotlight for the moment. It is as if there is something special here that needs attention called to it.

Anne was clearly a woman of the frontier...neither her birthdate nor here age are known for certain.

She was married to John who, with his own uncertainties, was known to be a friend of the early pioneers. It is not often to find a native American in an old cemetery so he must have been accepted by his community.
