We celebrated Inauguration Day with a visit to the Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle (kind of like the real world version of the hospital in Grey's Anatomy) to get our initial injection of covid vaccine.
It wasn't crowded (good for us, probably not good for the country) and we had a very pleasant nurse helping us with paperwork and the shots.
After the shots, we were asked to wait in the anteroom for 15 minutes to see if we were going to have any really severe reactions. Nothing happened so we headed to the car and came home. Completely uneventful, thank goodness.
Second shot is on Sunday, February 21. Feeling safer all the time. Our reactions have been mild...a little injection site pain and a bit of the blahs on the first day. After that, doing better. We're told the second shot reaction will be worse. We'll be glad when we get this all behind us.
