Back Home in Snohomish

After our extended adventure in Sequim, we are back (and have been for a while, posting gets well ahead of reality when we travel) and I'm out finding curious things to photograph around the neighborhood. Even in January, we have moss continuing to grow on this stone.

I'm sure you've noticed in an off-hand kind of way that all utility poles are marked with some sort of number. This pole has what appears to be a fraction of ¼ on it. Although I strongly suspect that it is not really a fraction, just a way to represent whatever data the pole counters need to have displayed.

Dusty Miller, which has seed as a matric for displaying flowers back in warmer days, is now the home to brown leaves that blow along the street.

Sometimes, I can find really strange things along the street. These folks have a flower pot sans flowers out by the street. Sitting in it where the flowers would normally go is this animal (horse?) jawbone. Not one of those things you see everyday.

And I found a spot where we are beginning to get some respectable street art.
