This cemetery is filled with finely crafted statuary of young women mourning the loss of family.
This one seems to be mourned by the deceased herself.
Other are carved from rougher stone and not placed under a sheltering promenade.
This stone mourner, however, is special. I do not believe that in all my visits to cemeteries around the world, I've ever seen such a delicately executed stature of a draped human form. This is really exquisite.
This one is done in a more classical style.
Ths woman appears to be sitting among the living with vines and roots gathered around her.
