On one of those mornings where there is a layer of clouds that does not reach the horizon in the east, we have clouds lit from below in the predawn sky.
Later, as the sun makes its way into the gap between water and clouds, we have light that comes in small ways to selected portions of the surroundings.
Below, it reaches the rock and the ruins of the castle but not yet the protected harbor.
Saving lives at sea is serious business all over the UK and here we have the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). Facing the newly risen sun, it catches the light and shows a happy look on an often deadly concern.
