This east-facing coastal town had little in the way of an inviting beach to offer. But if you are a lover of fishing, golfing, or small town life, this is the place fo you.

On one of the streets I walk are a series of windows that are decorated with inside and outside plants as well as stones and other flotsam.

In a place with long, dark winters this is perhaps the best way to enhance the view in a small space. There are plenty of nice gardens about the area where there is space for them. But here, this is all there is room for.

With this in mind, we see that even the small windows are trying to compete.
