This is the sort of bird that, if you saw it in your backyard you'd be underwhelmed. But here, sitting on this rock so close to us, he is quite impressive.
We snapped the shutter as he hopped about and posed for us.
At this close range, the distant green hills are completely blurred out.
It is interesting to see him with the different colored backgrounds the sky or hills provide.
He really poses for us. Fear not, there much more to come.
