More Bosque Birds

There was also a gaggle of Snow Geese resting along the shore of the pond. This one has assumed the resting pose.

We don't think about it, but these birds sleep with the eyes open since there is no eyelid to cover them.

This Black Phoebe is gathering nesting material for the annual event. Perched under this remnant of an old bridge, he/she sits in the sun to rest.

It is a handsome bird even if it is only black and white. I always feel a bit sorry for the black and white birds since they have such a limited set of colors to display.

Perched on a flower stalk not far away is a Says Phoebe surveying the surroundings.
