And Now, for Some Flowers
The summer flowers are showing their faces around town now. The delphinium in the front yard brings a splash of color to our home.
The wispy petals of the bee balm provides a place for bee to land and investigate for nectar while inadvertently gathering pollen. I'd like to ask if the balm really does make him feel better. I enjoyed watching him.
The pink frills of this azalea remind me of so many women dancing in the street in spite of what the neighbors might say.
Dressed up in the Sunday-go-to-meeting best, these flowers carry the water drops of the last rain shower as if they are jewelry only there to accent their beauty. When was the last time you walked in the rain and felt it was an improvement?
This dogwood on the corner near our house provides us with a spectrum of colors to brighten the day. Neat, clean, all the colors in the proper place. Totally different from the rest of our lives. Perhaps this is why we love them so much.
