More Brighton

Surprisingly, there is no admission charge to get on the pier. However, once on board, everything comes at a price.

On the way out to the end of the pier, you pass through (by design) several large covered halls that are filled with games and games of chance all hoping to keep some of your money. From what I could see, they were doing a good job of it.

The ratio of brave souls in the water to the rugged visitors who can lie with ease on the sonte beach is about about what you'd expect for a place not known for warm coastal waters.

At the end of the pier, there are acould roller coasters. This one is not one I'll be getting on anytime soon. As you can see the corners are quite tight so that the car holding people, which is round and is free to spin, will be caused to spinat every corner. Oh boy! the mess I could make after lunch on this thing.

I assume that a talking telescope can tell you what you are looking at, more or less.

Back in the city streets we find the use of color in an attempt to raise the spirits of a street that is otherwise down on its luck.

There are pretty buildings here. But the heat, the crowds, and the crazy road layout made this a place we don't really need to visit again. Not quite our cup of tea.
