There is occasionally, a bit of cheekiness in the way the UK tries to control vehicle speeds in these small villages. When you enter the village from the south, you first come to a speed limit sign as expected.
But later, a short ways into town, there is this sign with a gentle reminder below.
Then comes the more insistent command to be sure that folks are paying attention.
Then finally, there is this pointing out that even without electronics and radar, the state knows that you've been cheating and exceeding the speed limit.
Tell me where you seen such a thing in the US. I've not see it.
