After leaving Dunbar, Scotland, we headed south. After spending a few days in the Lake Country - more on this part of our trip at a later date - we drove farther south to our next house sit in Stratford-upon-Avon. Here are some photos from a few of my morning runs. There are advantages to being out at sunrise.
As you can see, we are sheep country. Stratford is on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, a place brimming with sheep. You also see more details about villages in the Cotswolds later also.
The house we are sitting has two cats that are mostly out hunting on they own and a view of the Avon river from the back garden. The images here are not from the back garden, but they are from a short walk away.
We are situated near a couple small villages, Binton and Welford-upon-Avon. Binton has a watering trough alongside the road on the way into town. In case you are in town, you and your house can stopr for a sip.
Also near, Binton is a sizeable farm...a bee farm so the sign says. In one of the pastures stands this tree to the east. This makes it possible to get interesting shots of the sunrise.
Sunrise over the Avon is also highlighted with a reflection of the morning sky in calm, still waters below.
I've saved the best for last. Below are the two best images from my morning outings. The first, is the bee farm tree again taken a bit earlier with the sun located directly behind the tree trunk. The morning fog adds a softness to the background that diffuses the light quite nicely.
