As the season progresses, the decay of the fallen leaves does as well. Yet there is still color to be seen amongst the ruins.
Some, like this (strawberry plant I think) below is still in transition.
This bush is a curiosity to me. I've never seen a bush put out while berries before.
This bush, in addition to putting out fire-red leaves is also putting out new buds.
