Color and Textures on a Rainy Day

This bush in the front yard is near the porch and the red color is really dazzling. However, I continue to struggle to find the right composition for showing it off.

Also in our yard is this Lady's Mantle. I like to photograph it when it is wet because the leaves are hydrophobic and the water bead so nicely.

But in our neighbor's yards are trees with lots more color variety. Some, like this one, mix red and green with a taste of yellow.

Others are mostly yellow and red with a taste of green. There are also many textures to explore here.

But some things are often best viewed in monochrome so we can appreciate the textures alone.
