Our last stop in Oregon is at the famous Cannon Beach. Here we find a nice wide and long beach where people enjoy a pleasant walk along the shore. In the summer this place is packed and traffic is a mess. But now, after school has started back and the weather is turning, it is quite pleasant.
There are sea stacks here, but we found that they are more common farther south. The attraction here seems to be the combination of off shore rocks to see and a nice beach on which to play.
While there are people here, you can see from these photos that it is by no means crowded. We were able to really enjoy an easy walk along the shore without dogs or frisbees disturbing us.
It is beautiful, serene place and it is easy to see why people choose to live here. Easy until you remember the summer season with the crush of people coming from Portland.
But perhaps the off season more than compensates for that. It certainly is beautiful here.
