Today's set of images show a few scenes around town as the modest snow we got begins to melt. In the image above you get the idea of the connection between the winter rain/snow and the coming spring explosion.
Snow is a fill-in-the-cracks kind of phenomena that, as everyone knows, give the works a new look. The first snow of season is always lauded for the new look it gives the world. But in the waning days of a snow, there is the snow-of-the-gaps stage where things look different rather than new or special.
This time in the aftermath of the storm brings us displays of abstract art that is ephemeral and quite different from it surroundings.
It also brings us sights that are quite normal and expected.
But is brings a watery freshness to the plants and seems to invigorate them with the promise of spring.
