Between Seasons

The snow added to the healthy foliage on the bushes, makes the snow seem artificial...it just doesn't fit somehow.

Yet, here it is. Cold. Fluffy. Bringing texture to an otherwise smooth surface.

It was a good snow...6-8 inches at least, maybe more. Since Snohomish doesn't own a snowplow, we mostly stayed at home while the snow melted.

The image below just calls Christmas to me. This looks like what one of us might try to do with fresh holly berries (these are not) and spray-on or powdered snow. But rest assured, this is the real thing.
