An Eagle and Beavers

Ridgefield really is a place you need to visit. There is an amazing amount of wildlife here. This is one of the few places that I've seen a beaver.

And, hile bald eagles are pretty common in this part of the world, it is not often that you catch one sitting on a bare tree where you can get a good look.

This immature bird is the sort that one often sees. While the mature ones that have the characteristic coloration are often also seen, by far the most likely one to see is an immature still in the dark phase.

But is really isn't every day that you see a beaver wandering near the road.
