Poulsbo, WA

We had a little sun over the weekend and decided to take the ferry to Kitsap county and visit Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. Here's some of what we saw while in Poulsbo.

Many store were closed but a few were open. Many people were wearing masks, but of course, some were not. I just did some arithmetic. According to Wikipedia, in all the conflicts fought by the US since 1900, excluding WWII, there were 141,172 combat deaths. Since February, we lost about 10,000 fewer people from Covid. When we are out and see people who refuse to wear a mask (as we did in Poulsbo...and were vocal about it), I wonder just what freedom they feel they are protecting.

One of stores in Poulsbo sells all sorts of mariner stuff. From hats and compasses to tobacco pipes to game boards, if a sailor needs/wants it, they've some of it.

We tried visiting one of the consignment shops to look at the antiques and the junk, but we found that once inside a store, social distancing was hard mostly because people seemed to suddenly forget it was a thing.

This place had things that might make interesting photos, but the setting was all wrong for that.

I fared a little better with this old set of golf clubs.

Just down the street is a store that sells guitars made from cigar boxes. There were some really interesting ones in the window but I struggled to get the photo without the reflections. This was the best I could do even if it was not the best example on display.
