Picking Raspberries
On a bright and surprisingly warm (77 F) Saturday morning, we loaded up the vehicles and went with the children and grandchildren to a local U-pick raspberry farm. I took my camera so I could look busy and avoid having to actually pick anything. The short walk from the parking ot the fields crossed the railroad tracks and I was able to get the little ones as they crossed.
Alongside the tracks are patches of this tall and elegant flower.
In the fields we found lots of ripe berries.
Seamus never got more than a sprinkle of berries in his container since he ate as fast as he picked.
Mother and daughter posed for a photo in the sun. You can tell that the fair skinned folks are already red from the heat and thankful that they are well sun-screened up for the trip.
Back in the car after checkout, Charlie had a cool down with some water and Seamus continued to search for more berries to eat.
