These are pictures of our last sightseeing trip into Budapest. At Freneciek Ter there is a fabulous building that I photographed from the outside earlier. This time we inside for a look around. This is the Parisi Udvar, a hotel. And as you can see, it looks more like a church than any hotel I've ever been in.
At one end of this only atrium is the registration desk. At the other, where we were here, is a small cafe where we had coffee and tea and a croissant. In between is the hotel restaurant.
We could no what through the closed restaurant, so we walked around to the main entrance of the hotel and came in the front door. Above us is the amazing ceiling light.
Here's a view back door the long hallway that is the restaurant.
Quite an impressive place. I'm sure it is out of our league to stay here.
Even the stairs have that 'church' look to them.
This is the last post from Budapest. Next time, we will be reporting from Berwick-Upon-Tweed, the northernmost town in England. We will spend Christmas there before moving on to other locations.
Stay tuned for more of our adventure as we leave the big city for the countryside.
