Playa de Chiquita, Puerto Rico

So, Elizabeth and Jeanne has gone off to Puerto Rico  for a week long house sit while I stay behind and keep the fires burning. Judging from the pictures she has sent to me, she got the better end of this deal.

She and Jeanne went out to Playa de Chiquita at sunset the other day to have a look about and take their little charge, Buddy, out for some exercise.

They got some dramatic clouds in the sky to add to the turbulent mood of the sea.

Buddy was excited to be on the beach.

It seems that there were places along the shore that some folks find to be just the right spot for expressing themselves.

Jeanne also found the right spot to express herself.

That Atlantic ocean is an active place with waves roarin' in to remind you that you are the mercy of the wind and waves.

The setting sun reflecting in the water adds a splash of color to the scene.

Colorful clouds as well.

After a long day of enjoying sun and surf, our intrepid travelers wander home to enjoy sitting on the verandah to the evening chorus. Here's a small sample of the insects and who knows what else you can hear in the evening.
