Colorado and Wyoming
In Colorado, things began to change. The temperature dropped and there was snow on the ground. It wasn't snowing on us, but it clearly had done so recently.
The sky began to be richer and show the character of storm clouds. A coming or going storm wasn't yet entirely clear, but change was afoot.
In spite of the fact that, as you can see, the road is dry, there is a growing concern about the amount of snow we are seeing in the fields.
Slowing, but surely, it began to snow.
The road began to be wet and just a little slushy.
And still that bright edge of the cloud in the distance continued to recede from us as ever.
We carried on since we didn't really have a choice. Rawlins, WY was our destination for the night. It seemed clear that we'd make it, but the next day was a bit of a puzzle.
We did indeed have a nice night in Rawlins. So far, so good.
