Zoo Shots Part II
One of the aviaries contains tropical birds and I found several that were worth an image or two. This one above is some sort of Cockatiel. Note that there is no blue sky behind the bird. This is Seattle, after all. What you see is the wall and ceiling painted blue.
This day was foggy. I was at the zoo from about 11:00 until 2:15 and I didn't see the sun until I was on the read headed home. Fog in the PWN is persistent.
This fellow below is a familiar one. This is the Eastern Rosella we met in Australia.
These two parakeets (?) seemed to be a pair that are having a little domestic time on their perch.
Over in the Black Bear enclosure, there were two new cubs that were having playtime on the ground.
One of the best places was by the River Otters at feeding time.
These guys (and gals) are really chowing down on their lunch.
