Zoo Park III - Cock-of-the-Rock

Inside a quite humid and warm aviary is a collection of birds from warmer climes. Included among them is the Andean Cock of the Rock. He's a real showboat.



You may find it interesting to note that all these shots were taken at ISO 12800. Yes, there is some noise, but it really not bad at all and actually pretty pleasant as digital noise goes.

The tuft of feathers on his head makes it seem like his beak is the totally wrong place.

And when you catch him from above, his eyes are pretty weird.

I find that black and white eye in the midsts of all that orange to be quite a contrast.
