Piano Museum

Oddly enough, in this small mining town of El Triumfo, there is a museum that has collected a variety of pianos and organs that were used here abouts.

The older specimens are pianos brought here in the first half of the 19th century to entertain the miners. One of them ( not pictured) as a Steinway. Lots of money and effort went into getting these instruments into what was then the middle nowhere. Nowadays, it is little way from the middle.

Here's where we had lunch after our museum and church explorations.

The town's namesake is the tower (smokestack) that was (so we are told) designed by Eiffel himself. The mining and smelting operations here put the place on the map. Today, the tourists keep it that way.

On the way back to the car we caught sight of an American Goldfinch sitting on a wire.
