A Few Birds to Enjoy
Another drive to Ensenada de Muerta for lunch and Restaurant 1535. Along the way we met a few of our feathered friends and I thought I'd share a few photos. The first, the Brown Pelican, was at the boat ramp near the restaurant.
Even though this is not an especially colorful or exotic bird, he is nevertheless a handsome fellow and fun to watch.
Between the end of the paved road and the restaurant is a short stretch of dirt road that happened to have a couple Caracara checking out the scene. I was able to get a few good images of them.
And finally, again at the spot where fish seemed to be dumped, we found a collection of Turkey Vultures. They were gathered at the tops of the cacti to keep an eye out for danger and food.
Once again the mountains and clouds made for a nice backdrop to the scene.
